We motored into New York on a gorgeous, sunny Sunday, down the East River and back up the Hudson. Soren set up another time-lapse video of the trip. (The GoPro ran out of batteries before we arrived at the 79th Street Boat Basin, but you can still see much of downtown, including the new One World Trade Center.)
(To prepare ourselves to visit the city, we watched On The Town. We couldn’t find The Museum of Anthropological History, but the Bronx is still up, the Battery’s still down, and people still ride in a hole in the ground.)

My cross-country travel friend, Peggy Smith (now Spina) and I took the Circle Tour boat around the isle of Manhattan not long after we arrived in August ’62. Wow! It was nothing as sweet and breezy as this beautiful EXIT entry cutting down and then up the rivers. What a fabulous way to discover the City. Love the score and the movie. Thanks, guys. xoxoxo Mindy
